La Grande Residence

I spent one night in a phase 2 room on a promo that included a 60 min. massage at their spa. I extended for another night, and they offered another massage, but I declined. The room was very nice and modern, and the rooftop pools and views were great.

The neighborhood is quiet, but the hotel is a bit far from the main street and not walkable, so you’ll need a scooter or tricycle. The gym, pool, and jacuzzi are pleasant. The room was clean and had what I needed, though it was smaller than the photos suggested and felt less up to date. The sofa is old and less inviting than it looks in the pictures, but the bed was quite comfortable. Sheryll provided excellent service, always available, professional, and responsive. We arrived without toilet paper, which should have been stocked before check-in. Check-in and check-out are handled at the hotel reception. The price felt justified.

The spa on the second floor was a highlight for me. I only noticed it about a week into my stay, then went at least three times a week. The services are affordable and the staff are very friendly. I enjoyed being pampered, using the sauna and spa, and only wish it opened a couple of hours earlier so I could start my day there. My aging muscles need it. Lei and Celine from the Spa Team gave me great, professional service and deserve recognition. I returned to the Philippines after 36 years to visit retired veterans, and they recommended this hotel over the others. I used to live on Clark AB, so its location was perfect for revisiting memories and going to the Veterans Cemetery. I was there in November when the typhoon hit Cebu, and we were never in danger because of the location of LeGrande Residence.

In Room 514, Randy Sunga was friendly, professional, available, and responsive. He was a great driver, and we enjoyed his company as a friend. We’d recommend him. Our issues were that toilet rolls weren’t always available in the room and it wasn’t cleaned every day.
