The staff were always quick to help and lovely about it, and the room was clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the filling, tasty breakfast. Prices are affordable, too. We’d happily come back. Booking through Agoda may get you a better deal.

We stayed overnight after attending a wake nearby, so we wouldn’t have to make a late drive back to the metro. This is one of Angeles’s classic older hotels, and the room was cozy, with strong AC, a comfortable bed, soft pillows, and white sheets that didn’t irritate my skin. We liked the bathroom’s separate shower stall and bathtub, and the pool was large enough for a proper swim. Breakfast came quickly from a choice of 10 plated options and was tasty. The pancakes were filling, and the waiter was friendly, though a uniform would have been better. The large Internet TV lets you sign in to your own Netflix account. The room was quite dark, though, and didn’t have bedside lamps. Some room photos online show lamps, and there was no power outlet on the right side of our bed either. That seems like an easy fix that could improve the stay. I’d also give service three stars for now because the guard and bellman insisted we park across the road in a dark spot, saying a container Van would need the spaces outside the hotel. When we returned that evening, cars were parked there, and no Van had arrived by checkout the next day. Please coordinate its actual arrival time so guests aren’t inconvenienced. Savannah hotel has a comfortable foundation, with a few small things to sort out.

The hammering was the worst part by far. Starting after 8am, the renovation noise went on all morning and shook the bed and wall, as well as my ears. The hotel is still under renovation, so that’s the context for this review, but right now I’d say a very big no. There were other problems too. The Wi-Fi didn’t reach the room, hot water was barely lukewarm, and the shower sprayed in all directions. The room was dark, and housekeeping ignored the big red “do not disturb” sign, unlocking the door and coming in without waiting for me to answer. Still, the place is fairly well kept for its age. The floor was clean, the bed was decent, the blackout curtains worked well, and everything in the room functioned, which is rare. The refrigerator wasn’t very cold, but I guess that’s fairly normal. I can see why other reviews are positive. Maybe I’ll consider returning once the renovation is finished in 2027, and change my review.

The food was a favorite, especially the snacks served during our workshop. Our rooms were nice and the beds comfortable, though I found the bathroom floor a little slippery. Service was quick too. We asked for batteries for the AC remote and someone was at our door a few minutes later.
