The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and spotless, and it was easy to unwind there after a long day. The staff made the stay especially memorable: everyone was warm and attentive, and they went out of their way to help. The scenery was stunning each morning, and the food was flavorful and better than I expected. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

The infinity pool is a lovely place to take in the view, with a sea breeze and a quiet atmosphere that makes you want to put your phone away and linger. Marqis Sunrise Sunset Resort and Spa sits high above the coast, looking out over Bohol’s hills and a wide stretch of blue ocean meeting the sky. Sunrise brings soft golden light, while the evening sky turns orange and pink. If you want to see Bohol from above, this is an incredible spot. It feels less like an ordinary resort and more like a spectacular viewpoint.

The room was clean and simple, and the sunsets from the balcony were breathtaking, which helped make up for the location being inconvenient for tourists. The room could use some repainting and other refurbishments, and the bathroom was missing basic things like refilled soap dispensers. The rooms themselves aren’t the main draw.

The location is picturesque, with lovely pools and great views, and the restaurant was good. The staff were nice, too. It worked well as a base for exploring southern Bohol. A few downsides: the breakfasts were bad, and there were lots of mosquitoes, other bugs, frogs, and geckos. The place is kid-friendly.
