Avenue Suites Hotel

The pool and breakfast were highlights, and the location made it easy to reach shops and tourist spots. My room was spotless, spacious, and nicely designed, with the amenities I needed. The bed was cozy and I slept really well. From arrival onward, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. I had a relaxing, wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend it!

The convenient location was the only thing this hotel had going for it. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Check-in was extremely stressful, and staff even admitted there were “hidden charges.” Almost everything, including use of the facilities, came with an extra fee. The staff were dismissive and unaccommodating when we raised concerns. They rarely smiled and acted unprofessionally. Our room was poorly maintained and had noticeable insects, and the towels, sheets, and pillows weren’t clean. We were charged for nearly every request, too. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room had enough space to rest, a TV for passing the time, and a clean bathroom with working water. Still, bugs were everywhere, including in the bathroom and on the curtains. It looked clean, but I suspect unsanitary spots may be attracting pests. Even with the bug problem, we had a good stay, and I’d check in again if circumstances brought me back. Lacson has nearby buildings and restaurants, and there was always a security guard on standby as we came and went. The staff were accommodating and greeted us every time we passed, even when we kept going back and forth. Rooms cost around ₱1.6k to ₱2k a night. The pool is an extra ₱250.00, and I don’t know the gym price, so it’s best to ask staff if you plan to use those facilities. There’s also a cafe/bar serving all-day breakfast and other meals. The food could fill you up, but I found it underwhelming and not worth the price. Most menu items are in the three-digit range. Expenses overall were alright, with no hidden fees, and it’s affordable for a budget-friendly Bacolod staycation.

The pool and gym were great for a little exercise or downtime, and I’d happily stay at Avenue Suites Hotel again. The room was clean, comfortable, and had the amenities I needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful, which made everything feel easy. Five out of five!
