RedDoorz near New Government Center

The location near government offices, shops, and places to eat made getting around Bacolod easy, whether for work or leisure. The room was clean and comfortable, with the basics for a simple stay, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Check-in was smooth too. For the price, RedDoorz near Government Center in Bacolod is a practical, no-frills option.

I loved it. Everything was clean and hygienic, and the service was good.

There are no windows, so you can't watch the sun come up, and noise can be an issue. The room lighting is okay, and the shower works, though the water pressure is weak. The TV is tiny, but the Wi-Fi is so bad you can't really work anyway. The mattresses feel like the cheapest quality, and the rooms don't seem secure enough for leaving valuables behind. There's also either a bleach smell or a mold smell in the rooms. It doesn't match what's advertised, and you get less than you pay for. The only positive I can think of is that it doesn't seem especially dirty. I don't understand the good ratings, or Agoda's ridiculous “excellent” and “exceptional” labels for this place.

I just arrived and booked until January 12. I live a block away, but the house is full. The Wi-Fi connection in the room is poor even though Wi-Fi is listed; the guy working there said it only works in the lobby. My TV doesn't have the right cord. The linen was stained and smelled like laundry that hadn't dried properly. I had it changed, and the guy said the mattress foam caves in, but they don't have the foto to replace it with. I had to wipe the dirty a/c vent, and the side table and cabinet were dirty too. The bathroom is scary, and I took photos. I had to go downstairs to get the linen replaced, and on the way I saw a big rat running toward the stairs on the 3rd floor. Jong was helpful, but the hotel is poorly managed. The owner needs to visit and see how to improve it. Maybe the owner doesn't check the hotel anymore.
