Go Hotels Plus Bacolod Newly Renovated

Our room was clean, had basic toiletries, and made for a comfortable stay. The staff were helpful and accommodating, especially the person on duty the morning of April 24. We had a wonderful visit at Go Hotels Plus Bacolod and would highly recommend it. Its location was convenient: close to well-known cafes and restaurants, including our favorite, Calea. Robinsons Bacolod is just behind the hotel, with BongBong’s Delicacies nearby for pasalubong, and Bredco Port is only minutes away, which made our trip to Iloilo easy. The only problem was slow Wi-Fi in Room 223.

Breakfast at Carmen's Kitchen is buffet style, and you can order eggs how you like them. The coffee there is horrible, though the lobby has a paid coffee machine. The hotel has been renovated, with refurbished rooms, and the lobby looks impressive. Rooms are clean and comfortable, if a bit tight. The beds and pillows were about right. The bathroom is dim, with strong water pressure but poor drainage.

It's decent for the price, with a room that's enough for two people to be comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly, always smiling. The location is convenient, across from Robinsons and close to restaurants around Lacson. The doors are the noisiest I've ever encountered in a hotel, and the worn linens and towels could use replacing.

Klook blocked my review, so I'm putting it here. We stayed overnight, and the amenities were great. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating. This was the best Go Hotels branch we'd stayed at so far, which made the incident even more upsetting. Our late checkout to 1 PM had been approved. Around 12:15, while my companion and I were bathing and getting dressed, a male housekeeping staff member tried to enter. The door alarm sounded and the door started to open, but the bar lock stopped it. It was frightening and invasive, and showed poor coordination between the front desk and housekeeping about our late checkout. My companion's anxiety was badly triggered. Instead of leaving relaxed, we rushed out and had to find somewhere else to calm down. We really liked the hotel, but this overshadowed everything.
