Pension Bacolod

It's not luxurious, but Bacolod Pension House is good value for money and works well for a short stay or a quick trip around the city. The location is handy for shops, restaurants, and transport, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple but clean, with the essentials for a comfortable visit. A good option if you're watching your budget and want somewhere convenient.

The one good thing was the man at reception who gave me a cup so I could make coffee. Otherwise, this place was a nightmare, the worst I've ever been to. It's stuck in the 80s, and the rooms look just as old. My room felt like a dungeon, facing the inside lobby/restaurant with no natural light and constant light at night. There wasn't even soap or toilet paper, and no trash can. The huge bed had a paper-thin mattress, so I hit the hard board when I lay down. The towel was like a microfiber cloth and wouldn't dry me after a shower. The sink barely had any water pressure, just a thin stream of droplets, and water kept leaking from the toilet hose. To get drinking water, you have to put in a coin and hope the machine works. I didn't get any because the reservoir was empty. Want to charge your phone? You have to climb TO THE CEILING to reach the outlet. And don't expect Wi-Fi, because there isn't any. Horrendous. I wouldn't recommend anyone put themselves through this.

The parking was very limited and barely off the street. Inside, the shower didn't work, the sink wasn't mounted, and the hot water was uncontrollable. The rooms need a full remodel and complete replumbing. This motel is at least 15 years past being a viable place to stay.

The photos online made the place look clean, bright, and modern, but the room I got was older, dim, and not as well maintained. The furniture and amenities were far from what the pictures showed. The staff were nice and the location was convenient, but those misleading photos made the stay disappointing.
