Oyo 454 Ging Ging Tourist Inn

A great place for a family trip. The rooms are clean, spacious, and can fit a lot of people, which works well when you're traveling with family. Service was very good too.

There's no WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby, which was really inconvenient. The bathroom is open to the outside, so with the light on at night it draws bugs in. We had to keep its door shut to keep the AC in the bedroom, which left the bathroom hot. There's no separate shower area, so showering floods the bathroom. The room door also opens outside, and with the bathroom openings, street noise came through a lot. The location is handy for getting around, but it's very noisy, and there's nothing to block the sound. If you need quiet to sleep, I wouldn't recommend it. The room was fairly clean and had air conditioning. There were ants, which seems normal here, but we didn't see the spiders or cockroaches mentioned in other reviews. There was no TV remote or hot water kettle for coffee or tea.

We had only two days in moalboal, and this left us stressed and tired. The first room had food crumbs on the table and hair from previous guests. After we asked, they reluctantly agreed to clean it, but it still hadn't been cleaned when we returned. There were ants all over the wall and bed. We've traveled around east Asia for months and can handle ants, but this was too much. They moved us, only for us to find a huge cockroach in the next room. We took our bags out and asked for a refund. It was nearly 1am, and we were desperate, with nowhere else we could find. As my husband's review describes, it took two hours of complaining before they agreed. The manager said, 'if I let you stay tonight in another room, don't post the picture of the cockroach'. We agreed because of the hour, but decided to post the photo so other travelers would know. I don't know where the score of 8 comes from, as all the rooms were disgusting. When we were leaving the next morning, we saw the cleaner. My husband said she hadn't cleaned the room the day before, and she smiled and nodded. The whole place lacks customer service and politeness. It's not worth it.

The staff were nice and helpful, and there's a 7-11 and bakery right at the inn's doorstep. Still, I would only stay here again if nowhere else nearby was available. The room's AC couldn't cool it properly and seemed too small for the space. Turning it to the coldest setting made the unit vibrate, and I could feel it strongly while lying in bed. WiFi is only available in the level 1 lobby, not in the room.
