The room itself had no view, even though the reception area has a beautiful one. The welcome from the receptionists was lovely and made the entrance feel like a five-star hotel, but the stay didn’t feel worth the room price. We couldn’t get a hot shower, despite Baguio still being cold during summer. The Wi-Fi kept dropping and was too slow to work with, so I had to sit near reception to get a steady connection. We also weren’t told the restaurant closed at 7:30 PM, so we missed dinner there and had to order food. Our food in the room got infested with cockroaches and we couldn’t eat it, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing or keeping food there. The lovely view is only from reception. For what we paid, the experience fell short.

The view is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But getting around was a real hassle. The steep walk to the main highway takes about 10 minutes, then it’s another 10 minutes to Marcos Highway for jeepneys. A taxi was around 150, Grab cost 250+, and the hotel’s taxi assistance was about 300. On my last day I tried to book Grab for 10 minutes without success, then waited around 30 minutes for their taxi. I missed my bus and had to queue as a chance passenger. The room had an unpleasant smell, maybe from dampness, poor ventilation, or the carpet. You can also hear a lot through the walls, which makes it tough for light sleepers or anyone working or taking classes online. For the location, it wasn’t worth it.

We had a great stay and would book again. The staff were helpful and could connect us with just about anything we needed, including laundry pickup and same-day delivery at a reasonable price. It’s a comfortable spot for a few quiet days, with a fantastic view from almost anywhere in the hotel. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on most days, and the food was good.

The restaurant view was the only part I liked. The hotel is far from the city, around a 15 to 30-minute drive depending on traffic, and it’s at a dead end with no convenience stores nearby. Getting to town by taxi or Grab costs 200+, so commuting is a no-go for me. Having a car would make it manageable. Our four-day stay was awful. The room was very dirty, dusty, and the shower curtain looked disgusting and clearly hadn’t been replaced. The toilet barely flushed. Nobody changed our towels or provided housekeeping, and the staff were unfriendly throughout. Breakfast was meant to arrive at 7:00 AM but came at 8:00 AM, making us late for our tours every day. I regret choosing this hotel for our family vacation. The room and service were terrible, and it was very expensive for what we got. I felt our money was wasted.

The restaurant was a highlight, with generous portions, excellent food, and a wonderful sunset view. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Our room was small, though, with a low ceiling and a small window, perhaps because we visited in peak season. Sunset View Ridge Residences is close to Marcos Highway, and traffic was light since it’s away from the busy areas. It took around 15-20 minutes to drive to SM Baguio. Getting around without a car can add up to about ₱250 per trip, and Grab was the easiest option because the place is far from the highway. Dito mo talaga mararamdaman ang tunay na Baguio weather, cool, foggy, and very relaxing. It’s a great spot for food, views, and a real Baguio experience.
