The setting and scenery are the only good parts. It’s peaceful if that’s what you’re after, but the standard room shown on the website was misleading and didn’t match the illustration. The room was tiny, there wasn’t even a table, and the main door and CR door were both really hard to open and close. The windows squeaked, and the small refrigerator they provided didn’t work. After heavy rain overnight, there was no water supply to our rooms. The staff were very inattentive.

My stay at ISLAND SKY VIEWS Resort by JVR (Hiverooms) was unacceptable and the service felt highly unprofessional. I did not stay there because of the conditions, and instead booked another resort for the same price, where I got a clean, well-maintained room, a swimming pool, and proper facilities. That made the poor value here even more obvious. I arrived at about 5:00 PM. The receptionist was watching TikTok on her phone and didn’t seem interested in helping guests. She didn’t know about my reservation, even though I’d booked and paid that same morning. After I repeatedly explained that I had booked an exclusive standard room, I was taken there. It smelled strongly unpleasant, had visible water-leak stains all over the walls, and had no air conditioning. The path to it was slippery and unsafe. The resort advertises beautiful garden flowers, but I didn’t see any. The property looked neglected and nothing like the online photos. I paid 3,000 pesos, then staff told me the room price was 1,100 pesos. Even that lower price would have been far too much for the room. The pricing felt dishonest and lacked transparency. When I asked to cancel and get a full refund because the room did not meet expectations and the listing was misleading, I was told to cancel through the Booking.com app. They refused my request for a free cancellation. The service, cleanliness, and honesty fell well below acceptable hospitality standards. The resort seems to draw customers in with misleading photos, then delivers a much worse experience. ❌ Unprofessional, inattentive staff ❌ Dirty, poorly maintained rooms ❌ Misleading advertising ❌ Overpricing and unclear pricing ❌ Refusal to take responsibility I strongly advise against booking here. It was a complete waste of money and not fit for guests expecting even basic accommodation.

It feels like a good place for family bonding. The huts are cozy, with a table set up for picnic food, and the hanging bridge felt safe while still giving us an adventurous experience. We went for a day out, so I haven’t rented a room. Kids will love it, though rides aren’t available when it rains for safety reasons. To me, it could also be a nice place to sit with your thoughts or spend time while facing a big decision.

The view and the bridge are the only real positives. The pool was so small I don’t think all the guests would fit, and the rooms were small too. They didn’t provide trash bins, which made me wonder how much they cared about cleanliness. Staff weren’t helpful, and some wouldn’t even listen. No one could answer when I asked about the cable car. Bad experience overall, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Other resorts have the same view with better accommodations.

The cottages have lots of space, the view is great, and the rainbow-colored hanging bridge was fun. The entrance fee is affordable, and overall we had a good time, though I’m undecided about going back. It’s not especially suitable for little kids, so keep a close eye on them. I wish there were restrooms and wash areas near the cottages instead of having to climb all the way up to the restaurant. The zip line was no longer in use, but there were no safety barriers around it, and the parking area was bad.
