It’s right in front of SABANG BEACH, where you can learn to surf, and it’s a very budget-friendly place to stay. The staff are easy to talk to, and there’s a small pool inside the resort. I’d recommend it, though there’s no food available and the bathroom is shared.

The attendant was really accommodating and took the time to talk with us, which mattered most to me. I’m sorry I didn’t ask her name. This isn’t Baler’s best inn, and it needs a lot of improvement, but I was glad we stayed and would like to return. How people treat you is what sticks with you. Thanks, guys, and I hope we can keep the shore and water clean. We booked just two or three days before our early November 2018 trip. The room was pretty average, with a bathroom, hot and cold water, TV, air conditioner, and fan. Ours had four double beds, so it felt cramped. There was no closet or table to eat at, though the inn has kubos and tables outside that worked better. The kubos are nice, open for anyone to use, and handy for eating together. They’re pet friendly too, which was a bonus. There was a common sink since not every room has a kitchen or sink, and the same area is used to hang clothes, so there’s no private spot per room. They have an ihawan, but it’s limited and isn’t one per room. When the inn is full, you may have to wait your turn if they’re all occupied. I’d suggest bringing a portable stove. It was so windy that it took us almost an hour to get a fire going. The pool had quite a bit of sand in it, but that’s understandable when people come straight from the beach. When we ran out of food, we drove to the nearby wet market, so there’s no need to worry if you didn’t pack enough. I loved Baler’s water, it didn’t make my skin itchy. There were quite a few twigs and coconut husks, but I still loved swimming there. The waves can be playful, so be extra careful if you can’t swim or have kids with you. The inn isn’t directly on the beach, there’s a road between it and the shore, but it really is very close.

We had a perfect family break from Dec. 28-Jan. 1, 2018. The kids could enjoy the pool rain or shine, and the beach is very close. Everyone on staff was friendly, and the owner, Ms. Elaine C., was suuuppper accommodating. Thank you so much, Lee Yon Oceanfront Inn, for making our New Year memorable!

We booked for three, but there were only two blankets. The pool also wasn’t available, even though it was advertised.

Affordable, and it’s easy to get to the beach. A good place to stay.
