The Cube Baler

I left some jewelry in the room, and luckily the housekeeping team found it and offered to send it back by courier. The staff were commendable and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was clean and very comfortable, too. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baler.

The pool is warm, large enough for laps, and especially nice for a swim at night. The resort is made up of refurbished shipping containers in a green space, although there aren’t many big trees, so it gets hot sitting outside in the morning. Rooms seemed fairly priced to me and were pleasantly clean, with toiletries supplied. It’s about a 2-3 minute walk to the public beach. The staff are courteous and helpful. Ask at the front desk and they can give you a map of local sights and how to get around. Food portions can be shared between two people, even though the menu calls them à la carte. Breakfast is buffet style, but there isn’t much choice.

Staying in one of their cubes was a new kind of lodging experience for us, and we really enjoyed it. The beach and nearby restaurants are about five minutes away. If you don’t feel like walking to the beach, the pool is right outside your cube.

The food and pool were both great, and it’s close to the beach and nightlife. Everyone on staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Our room was clean and nice, too. They even let Kulit, our 9-month-old husky, stay with us for two days. Tour guide Kuya Mac was amazing and seemed to know everything. Ask for him if you want a great day tour.
