Hotel Lola Natividad

For 1000ph a night, this was very acceptable. The room and bathroom were super clean, and the staff were helpful. I don't speak Filipino, but we managed fine in English. You may have to take the stairs, which we could all use for a bit of exercise. I wasn't expecting a great stay at that price.

The location was okay and service fair, but we booked two rooms and both had a lot of mosquitoes and broken bathroom doorknobs. In the first room we kept getting locked inside and had to wiggle the knob to find the catch that opened the door. There was no toilet cover either. In the other room, the bathroom door wouldn't close, the shower was broken, and the flush didn't work until I fixed it myself. Parking was limited, the Wi-Fi kept cutting out, and the hot water dispenser wasn't working. We couldn't tell whether people walking around were guests or staff because staff wore house clothes and had no identification. We had to go up and down to ask reception for things. There was no phone or fridge.

The owner and staff made us feel welcome and were very accommodating. The place is quiet, so we got a good rest, and it’s near to vigan. The bathroom was clean and nice, with hot water. They’ll give you coffee for free if you ask reception, which other hotels charge for. The internet is working now because we fixed it 😜, and they treated us to lunch and dinner in exchange 😉😊. We’ll surely be going back to lola natividad on our next stay. Thank you very much!

For an affordable one-night stay, the rooms are good, and they serve free coffee. Breakfast isn't included. If you're visiting the old city on a budget, this is an option, though there’s a big difference compared with the hotels in central.
