D' Gecko Hotel

Our family room was decent for the price, though fairly small, and the bathroom was small too. The mattress made for a really good night's sleep, and the air conditioning was powerful. The property was very clean, with slippers provided because footwear isn't allowed in the rooms, and dispensers on each floor for free water refills. We stayed three nights, right by the Sardines Run and a great snorkeling spot. The owners offered bike rentals at a good price. Kawasan Falls is about 30 minutes away, and the nearby food court, around 800 meters off, has local vendors serving international and vegan food. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel asks guests to leave their shoes at the entrance and switch to plastic sandals inside. I stayed three nights in room 104. It was small, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. The service was good too.

The road in is a bit bumpy, but the stay itself was great. The beach is only a minute away, and bikes are available to rent. Everything felt clean and homely, and the owners and staff were always happy to help. They go out of their way to make you comfortable, so I'd recommend this place over a star-rated hotel.

The private road gets a little bumpy and muddy in the rain, but it adds to the adventure. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. D’Gecko Hotel was spotless and in a perfect location, and Lot on the staff was especially friendly and helpful, making everything easier. They also offer handy services, including a fairly priced shuttle to and from Cebu airport and motorcycle rentals right at the desk, which made getting around easy.
