Hotel 45 Beach Resort

The air-conditioned room cost 1,600 for two people. The first room they gave us had a broken AC, so we had to switch. The AC in the second room worked, but the shower didn't, and the water smelled rusty. Our dogs enjoyed the place most. There's a huge grassy area where they can roam on a leash, including a retractable one. Free breakfast is served only until 9 am. After that, they'll charge you if you still want lunch.

I called more than a week before check-in and asked everything I could think of, including whether we could cook and what the options were if not. Once we arrived, we went to the market to buy food. They let guests use the grills, but for cooking they offer to prepare food for 150 per kilo. Only on the day itself did the receptionist tell us the cook was there until 6 pm and couldn't cook for our group of 20. We asked if we could cook instead, but they said it wasn't allowed. I would have appreciated knowing about the cooking time limit in advance. The price is cheap, and I guess the service is about right for what you pay. The kids came home with various cuts from the damaged pool tiles. Some of the air-conditioned rooms don't have working AC, and you have to ask for towels or they won't give you any. Even if you've checked in, using tables costs extra. We had fun because we were together, but the resort experience itself wasn't great.

The place feels old and rustic, and the facilities are outdated. Our room and the floors weren’t clean, the surroundings were dirty, and there was barely any water coming from the shower. I also felt that staff paid more attention to foreign guests than to locals, and they didn’t smile. I wouldn’t come back.

The room was in bad shape: there were bed bugs and cockroaches, and the pillowcases and bed covers didn’t look properly washed. Breakfast was disappointing too. The food tasted bad and seemed carelessly prepared, and even the paper plates felt like too little effort. At the front desk, the workers came across as unprofessional and didn’t communicate well. They spoke to us from the dining area while eating, barely looking at us, and didn’t seem interested in helping. A -0/10 experience.
