Ultra Winds Mountain Resort

The villa wasn’t ready at check-in, and when I finally got into the Deluxe Villa I booked at Ultra Winds Mountain Resort on March 22, flies were everywhere, in both bedrooms and on the tables and chairs. That’s a serious sanitation issue, not a small inconvenience. Staff sprayed a lot of Baygon inside, including near the beds and linens, and the chemical smell was strong. That made me worry about guests’ health and safety. Saying it’s because of a nearby farm doesn’t excuse the problem. If management knows about ongoing pests, they shouldn’t be taking bookings or handing over rooms in that state. This points to poor property management and gross negligence. I see potential health risks here, and the resort falls short of basic hospitality standards. Local health authorities should inspect it. I’d avoid staying, especially with children or elderly people.

The cottages were comfortable and cozy, and the staff made us feel welcome and were helpful. With those fresh mountain views and refreshing air, it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature. Ultra Wind Mountain is an amazing getaway!

The changing rooms could use some TLC, but swimming was lovely and I had a really enjoyable time. We also ate at the restaurant, where the food was delicious. I had Tinola fish soup with Malasugi fish and grilled Pompano. Service was impeccable, and our waiter, whose name starts with R, was so helpful. We’ll be back.

The pools were clean and nice, and the view over the CDO cityscape was great. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained when we visited. I just wish there were clear directions for connecting the TV to WiFi for movie streaming. The hot water works, though you have to wait a minute, and instructions for that would help too. The restaurant was nice, but there should be more vegetarian choices. The resort is far from the city, and apart from the coffee shop, it’s the only place to eat. Shuttle service should be offered to guests checking in as well, not only to people coming to swim.
