Cris Del Mar Resort

The staff are the reason I’m still giving this place five stars. They were attentive, friendly, and always smiling, so I’ll definitely come back. The price is budget-friendly and the free breakfast is good value. The location is convenient, near town, the church, and the market. You can reach the beach by a bamboo bridge, and Patar and Tondol beaches are a 30-40 minute drive away. Our room was old but clean, with a few mosquitoes flying around the bedroom, though surprisingly none bit us. Parking was right outside our unit.

The staff were so kind and friendly 😊. Since it was our first time in Bolinao, they chatted with us and gave tips on places to visit. They made us feel really welcome. Our rooms were very clean 🛏️. Just keep food covered or ants will come. The adult pool is shallow: about 4 ft at its deepest and at my waist at the shallow end. I’m 4'11". I didn’t get to try the kiddie pool haha. Free breakfast is served from 6-9 AM, with a lovely view while you eat. Two cats, one calico and one ginger, may come looking for food and pets 🐱. They’re so cute! Really nice, relaxing hotel and good value. Would stay again :D

The room cost p$2,500 (45 US), but felt worth only about half that. It seems the price is high because the place is near the water, though there’s no beach on the property. You have to leave the grounds to reach one, and it isn’t a nice beach anyway. I’d look somewhere better. The outside looks modern and appealing, with a nice front office, pool, and restaurant. Inside, though, the room was basic: no queen or king bed, a sheer curtain that let in the morning sun, an overly thick bedspread, and plain, non-fluffy pillows. The shower was small and dated, though it had a heater. There was no safe or refrigerator, and only three outlets in the whole room, with none by the nightstand for charging a phone.

We spent three days on holiday with the whole family and enjoyed it so much. The staff were very accommodating and gave us the best suggestions. We recommend this resort, 100%. Regards, From Netherlands
