357 Boracay

The rooms were spacious, with lots of windows and natural light, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. The lady who runs the place was amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful. Being right on the beach meant we could have breakfast with our feet in the sand, leave our towels at the hotel's beach seating area, and use the outdoor shower before going back to our room. Pure bliss! One drawback is that rats sometimes get into the seating areas. I suggest management bring in pest control to prevent that.

We spent a week at the 357 Boracay Hotel. Its location is nice, with easy beach access and a quiet setting, while still within walking distance of the busier parts of White Beach Station 1 and 2. The breakfast view is amazing. Our room was okay, but the floor and some walls near the windows are old and show signs of leaking. The very used fridge was loud, and our window was above the kitchen, so the “fresh air” smelled like fried food. The AC didn't work on the first night. Staff offered us a fan and fixed it the next morning. Breakfast is very simple, with no variety in the three à la carte options, and you have to pay for a second cup of coffee. Before arriving, we tried contacting the staff through booking.com and the phone number but never got a response. We had to organize our arrival on the island by ourselves. When we got there, the receptionist didn't seem aware of our booking, and we didn't get a friendly welcome. They eventually gave us a room. The staff and receptionist felt distant, and the hotel atmosphere was quite cold.

The beachfront view is everything, and I love that this affordable hotel is in Station 3, where there's less of a crowd and it's quieter than Station 2. My only reason for not giving it five stars is the poor connection: there's no signal in the rooms and the WiFi is really slow. I had to step outside to upload my photos and videos to social media. The air conditioner is also very old and doesn't get very cold.

There's plenty of space here, and for a three-star place it's a very good stay. The location is top notch, with everything you need in the hotel. The rooms are clean, and if you don't like buffet breakfast, you can order from the breakfast menu. The internet was almost stable the whole time, with speeds of 40mb-d and 30mb-upload, so I'd rate it 8/10. To watch Netflix, you'll need to bring a laptop and HDMI/HDTV cable, since not all TVs have an OS and apps. 🙂
