This guesthouse works well for me, though my view of the island is mixed. I stayed a few days at the beginning of December, when prices were reasonable. It’s just rooms, not a resort, but they’re huge and clean, everything works, and the Wi-Fi is good. Inside is a bit dark because buildings are packed close together everywhere. For me, this is the only acceptable spot on the beach. It was quiet, with mostly independent travelers around, and the street vendors don’t come down this far. There’s an interesting semi-Japanese restaurant around the corner. Further up the beach, it’s taken over by Asian mass tourism and is very commercialized. The guesthouse is good, but only part of the island is.

Polite, professional staff and a clean, roomy stay. We spent three nights here in a nice room over 25 m2, with air conditioning, a fridge, kettle, and cable TV. It’s down a small alley, so the spot feels a little dark, but outside the room there were two chairs and a small table with a sea view. Excellent value for money. I’ll definitely come back.

Right on the beach, with nice, caring managers, maja and paulo. The rooms are quite large, clean, and reasonably priced, with plenty of outlets placed where you need them, beside both sides of the bed and elsewhere. The restroom has good space and a separate shower.
