Boracay Uptown

The evening atmosphere was a big part of the appeal, with live music, fire shows, and a busy restaurant. The pancakes were fabulous, I loved the food, and service was great. I’d visit again. It’s in Station 2, right on Boracay beach, and the view is amazing. There are lots of staff around to help. The rooms are amazing, though they don’t have a view. The hotel has an infinity pool and a cool pool for cooling off after a swim in the sea. To get there, take the ferry from the airport in Caticlan, then a tuktuk jeep for 25 PHP each to Station 2. Walk about a km along market Street to reach the hotel on the beach.

We booked at the last minute and had to change rooms halfway through, but the staff made that easy and were really helpful. The first room had excellent hot water. Our second one didn’t, so the experience can vary by room. I had a great stay at uptown. The staff were fantastic, and the central location made it convenient for getting around the beach and island.

The location was handy, very close to Dmall, Jabi, Mang Inasal, and Chowking. I especially liked the two pools and the benches along the beach. The spacious rooms work well for families, and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, with a beach view while you eat.

We spent eight days here with my family over New Year’s, and it ruined our vacation. I can’t understand how this hotel has three stars. If you’re reading this, please don’t book it. The place was dirty, the facilities were old, and the shower water wouldn’t drain. We had floods in the bathroom. The booking page looked great, but the reality was awful. We had to ask up to seven times a day for someone to clean the room. When they finally came, there was still a lot of sand, and they took our towels without leaving replacements. Then we had to ask for towels again, seven times. We also had to beg for coffee and water to be brought to the room, even though the booking said they were included.
