Henann Lagoon Resort

The airport transfer was the one bright spot, and it was reasonably priced. The location is decent too, about a five minute walk to the beach. Rooms are fine, but nothing special. Breakfast was poor: limited choices, low quality, and not enough seats. A 15-20 minute wait just to get breakfast was normal. The place feels cold and transactional, like getting guests through quickly matters more than hospitality. There were troubling privacy and security problems. During painting, the hotel used visible images of guests’ passports and credit cards to cover the windows. Food was also left in the hallway for hours. When someone reported it, staff just moved it farther down the corridor instead of removing it, and bugs showed up. This place is nearly awful, and definitely bad enough that I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s only for somewhere to sleep if that’s all you need. Otherwise, avoid it.

The only small drawback was the private jacuzzi in room 251. It wasn’t heated, and in January the water felt too cold to enjoy. I imagine that might not matter in July when it’s warmer. Aside from that, I had no complaints. The room was huge, and the staff were helpful from the moment I arrived. Both mornings, breakfast was well prepared with a fantastic range of food. The hotel is just steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. Everything about my stay was memorable, and I’d highly recommend it.

The property is dated, so I’m taking off a star, but the people made our stay really enjoyable. The staff were courteous and warm, and the Filipino hospitality came through in every interaction. Ryan at the front desk especially went out of his way to meet our room preferences and special requests. He deserves a raise. Breakfast was good value, with plenty to choose from. The pool isn’t heated, which may bother some guests, but the atmosphere was lovely. Live bands at night were a highlight and brought a fun energy.

We had a lovely stay at Henann Lagoon with our extended family, including elderly relatives and children. We booked three rooms, and ours had plenty of space for two adults and two children. The pool was easy to get to and was my toddler’s favorite part. It’s not a beachfront hotel, but e-trikes were readily available, so getting around the island was convenient. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was the one letdown: our family expected more after staying at another Henann property, and this spread seemed more limited. Still, we had a great experience and would recommend staying here.
