Hotel Villa Sunset

We were especially impressed by the family villa’s kitchen and appliances. It’s fully equipped, spacious, clean, and well maintained, with towels and bedding that seem new. The staff treated us like VIPs, helping with everything and giving us exceptional service throughout our stay. The location is ideal and good value for money, close to the white beach and plenty of sari-sari stores where you can save on expenses. Why pay for overpriced hotels where you feel stuck in a box when you can have this comfort and space for a fraction of the cost? We highly recommend Villa Sunset for families or groups.

The place feels very private, and the room was spacious with a nice pool. The bathroom could use some work. We stayed for two nights and got bitten by mosquitoes a lot, so mosquito nets around the property would be helpful. It’s also a shame you can’t buy drinks at reception.

We had a pleasant stay in a ground-floor garden room. Villa Sunset feels quaint and secure, with iron gates, a brick wall, and 24-hour security at its single entrance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and beach towels were available to take to the beach or on island hopping trips. The small pool suited the size of the hotel, and breakfast was served on our room’s terrace or balcony. There are cooking facilities in the room, including a two-burner electric stovetop, kettle, fridge, pans, and plates. The property is down a small lane, with a pedestrian path to the Station 2 beachfront and shops. The resort provides lighting along the lane and replaces stolen bulbs when guests let them know. It’s well placed for Station 2 nightlife, boat tours, and water sports. The price was reasonable, though a fancier hotel wasn’t much more expensive. I’d stay again if I found a cheaper promotional rate.

The location was brilliant, just a 30-second walk to the White Sand Beach storefronts. Maraming salamat to Joy and all the staff at Villa Sunset for looking after us. Everyone was friendly, always smiling, and quick to help when we had a question. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Boracay!
