Luxx Boutique Boracay

I was here for four days and had a really good time. It’s only about 40 meters from the beach, felt safe, and the staff were great. The rooms seemed new and were very clean, and the bed was great too. The Wi-Fi wasn’t good, but honestly, it gave me a break from my phone by the end of the day :)

My family got a cold drink from the front desk when we arrived, and the bed was clean and what you'd expect if all you need is a place to sleep. That was about the extent of the good service, though. We stayed three days without the room being cleaned or the bed changed. There was sand on the bed, and we had to clean it ourselves. No breakfast, either. The air conditioner remote worked only sometimes, depending on the room. The shower had very little water and no hot water, and the toilet flush handle was broken. Toilet paper was hit or miss, so we had to ask for it since there was no room service. You get the service you pay for. If you want a really nice, comfortable Boracay vacation, spend a little more on a room.

The only real plus was being close to the beach. We booked four rooms for eight adults, one child, and two infants, but this place wasn’t senior or kid friendly. There’s no elevator, and my parents, both seniors, had to climb to their third-floor room over and over. Our rooms were on the third and fourth floors. There was no direct way to contact the lobby, so requests for tissues or fresh towels meant going downstairs. Dianne gave me a number to call or text so I wouldn’t have to keep going up and down, but nobody answered my calls or messages. We asked for the room to be cleaned and were told someone would come up, but no one showed. My parents also found a used toothbrush in their toilet when they arrived. There were big brown ants on the terrace. A tiny bit of food on the floor was enough to bring loads of them into the room after my daughter dropped a small piece of fries. Sweeping wasn’t enough, so I had to ask for Baygon insect spray.

Our room was okay and the bed was really comfortable. The spot is near the main road and can flood when it rains. There was also a big heap of garbage right beside the hotel during our stay. It didn’t smell, but it did nothing for the atmosphere.
