Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel

For our wedding anniversary, I took my wife to this hotel at our favourite resort and mentioned that we hoped for a simple congratulatory gesture. What they arranged left us both amazed and very touched. We were welcomed with dancing, cold towels, and refreshing drinks, then the receptionist personally showed us to our suite after check-in. Inside, there were decorated cakes and well wishes. The bed was beautifully arranged, and our song was playing on the TV along with a welcome message. A big thank you for all that effort.

We’d definitely return on our next visit to Boracay. The staff made the stay feel exceptional, with genuine warmth, attention, and a real willingness to go out of their way for us. Special thanks to Lyle, Rica, and Abby for the wonderful service. The hotel exceeded even our highest expectations.

Getting to and from the airport was first class, and the welcome on arrival was so enthusiastic it felt overwhelming in a nice way. Check-in was straightforward, our room was ready and very clean, and everything in it worked. I’d happily recommend this hotel and felt it was good value for money. The beachfront is only a few meters away, with local restaurants and shops nearby. The buffet breakfast was delicious, with Filipino and continental food. I especially enjoyed the fresh pandesal and chomperado, particularly the ube chomperado, which was extremely addictive and delicious. The restaurant also has a live band each evening, around 1830-2300. The music was nice, though it may make it hard for light sleepers to sleep before it stops. The whole team works hard to make guests feel welcome. Israel, the hotel's guest experience manager, went above and beyond, as did many of the management team, who put in long hours. Housekeeping kept the hotel pristine and cleaned rooms to a good standard. I was struck by how a team of housekeepers cleaned each room together, checking one another's work so nothing was missed. The general manager should be proud of the team and the work he does. I hope he passes on my thanks to everyone.

Gretchen was the star of our trip. She took us around on the tour, was so friendly and sweet, and took loads of family pictures. She really made us happy. The location was amazing, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the rooms were great once we asked them to be fully cleaned every day. The live band played every day from 6-11:30pm. It was too loud, and the music was a bit down putting. Aside from that, the experience was great. Thanks again to the whole staff. We’re leaving happy, happy, HAPPY 🫶🏻
