We especially liked how quiet and tucked away the hotel felt, with its own little beach, yet Station 1 was only about a 10-minute walk through the caves. The pool was well kept, and there was table tennis and lots of board games for downtime. The rooms and shared areas were clean and well maintained, which made everything comfortable. Marlon, our shuttle driver, deserves a mention. He was thoughtful with passengers and even kept towels in the shuttle in case anyone got wet. The shuttle ran on several schedules, which was much more useful than the limited trips at other hotels we've stayed in. The rest of the service staff were warm, courteous, and attentive too. Breakfast was just middling, but decent enough, with different choices and two rounds of coffee. We also appreciated that they didn't charge an extra person fee for my 11-year-old nephew. That felt considerate for a family stay. We'd happily return to Microtel.

Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and they could arrange the ride back to the airport for one small combined price, including the port fees and environmental taxes. Housekeeping were cheerful and even worked around the days I slept in late. Breakfast was included each morning, with around ten food styles to choose from. The people at the front desk, in housekeeping, and at the restaurant were all polite, professional, and fun. They made me feel part of the Boracay family. The restaurant meals were beautifully plated, like Michelin-level art. Rooms were modern, clean, and had the basics, though there is no fitness center. The pool is less than 25 meters away and the beach is about 50 meters away, so I swam in the ocean every day. The private, quiet beach is so close, and the room prices are low compared with hotels much farther from the shore. For me, Microtel is the best hotel on Boracay Island. I wish I could give it 12 out of 10, and I look forward to returning to Paradise every year. I strongly recommend it. Please save me a room for one month a year when all these views sell you out, haha. Gratefully, Allan C. J. Poff CD.

A peaceful place if that's what you're after, though it's a long way from main D'Mall. The beach nearby is nice, with a good bar and restaurant close by. The hotel itself is clean, the food and service are good, and the showers have good pressure. The bathroom was fine overall, and there's a 24-hour ice machine and cold water. I hadn't seen safety deposit boxes at reception that required both a guest key and the reception key before, but that seems very secure. One person at reception did come across as quite arrogant. Still, it's a very acceptable place to stay.

I stayed nearly a month and really loved it. The place was quiet and clean, and there were shops and restaurants within walking distance. The guests came from all over and were nice, polite people. I didn't run into loud tourist crowds or noise at night. The staff were very helpful, room service was good, and drinking water and ice were available around the clock. There was also a regular shuttle to the shopping malls and restaurant areas. Their restaurant is my favorite on the island, with the best chef and fresh ingredients.

For a quiet break away from the crowds, this peaceful hotel was a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, and there's a complimentary plated breakfast included. The choices are limited, though, so it might not suit everyone's tastes, especially over a longer stay. The location is a fair distance from Stations 1 and 2, where most water activities, restaurants, shops, and nightlife are. It's a bit of a walk, but there's a free shuttle to and from D'Mall. The area beach isn't as swim-friendly, especially for children, as the calmer water at Station 1. If you're visiting Boracay for the first time and want to easily explore the island and enjoy its busy atmosphere, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Station 1 or 2 would be a better fit. But if a relaxing, quiet environment is what you're looking for, this is a good choice.
