Sandals Inn

I arrived today for a 7-day meditation program, and day one has been good so far. Tell the tricycle driver to drop you at 7-11 Station 3, then it's just a 2-3 minute walk. It's easy to find, the only yellow orange accommodation around. The room is clean and has a double bed, toilet and bath with hot and cold shower, a cabinet with hangers, safe, fridge, mirrors, table and two chairs, two cups, an electric kettle, and A/C. I was also able to borrow a hair dryer. The spot is ideal if you prefer the quieter side of Boracay. I got a good deal through Agoda. They don't provide breakfast or drinking water, but nearby restaurants have good breakfast, and convenience stores are only a few steps away.

With bars and restaurants close by, it’s easy to find places to eat. The room sits right on White beach, and the caretaker was lovely. Her dog ACE was adorable too.

We spent 16 days on the island and stayed at five hotels. Sandals was our favorite. Station 3 is quieter than Stations 1 and 2, and the beachfront room was good value. Booking directly can get you a good deal. The caretaker lives next door and was easy to reach. She cleaned daily and changed the towels and bedding every two days. We got complimentary water and basic toiletries on the first day. There’s a kettle and mugs in the room, nice for sitting outside with a coffee and looking at the beach. Hangers are provided if you want to do laundry. There’s also a nearby convenience store, Green Stop, which is cheaper than 7 - 11 for basic supplies. The Wi-Fi worked well much of the time, though on some days it got very slow, maybe because of the windy weather. There’s no hair dryer if you need one. The electric fan was old and rusty and just kept turning from side to side, so it could use replacing. We didn’t need the AC during the day and enjoyed the sea air instead. It was a lovely stay, and I’d recommend it to friends.

The house is lovely and the location is great. At times, though, the owners seemed more concerned with their own comfort than with the guests.
