The apartment on the 5th floor that I rented was VERY DIRTY, and the kitchen cabinet was FULL WITH MOLD. The owner’s response was that it was an old building and the mold in the kitchen was part of wear and tear on old wood, and that the apartment was cheap. NO IT WASN'T! The Property Management Team, including the manager and engineer, saw the apartment and the mold. They said they would fix it and check the permit, but weeks later the apartment was still being offered for rent. It felt like an EMPTY PROMISE. The Yapak Barangay, kind of like city hall, is responsible for permits. They knew about the problem, I showed them all the pictures, and they spoke to Property Management, but nothing happened. I hope no one with a mold allergy stays there, because it could be a serious health hazard, even for someone healthy. The view from the apartment was nice, and the washing machine and kettle were clean. The area was quiet.
