Almont City Hotel

The complimentary breakfast was delicious: tocino and eggs with rice, fruit, and coffee. I slept really comfortably, and the room was cozy, smelled fresh, and had air conditioning. It came with two towels and a few amenities on the bed, an extra pillow and hangers in the closet, plus drawers that lock for valuables. The bathroom was small, and hot water took a bit to reach the third floor, but once it did, it was almost too hot. I expected a budget hotel, so the stay was a pleasant surprise. Almont is beside a small night market in the square, with Jolibee, McDonalds, little shops, and kiosks only a short walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful from arrival, carried my bags upstairs despite the lack of an elevator, and checked the room to make sure everything was in good shape. A handy spot for a quick stopover near the airport.

We slept peacefully even though the hotel is right in central Butuan, and we really liked the hot shower. Having a restaurant in the hotel made things more convenient. The staff were all accommodating. There’s no elevator, so keep in mind that the family rooms are on the fourth floor. That could be difficult if you have a family member with a disability or an older relative.

The only drawback for me was the parking, which is on the sidewalk. Otherwise, the room had everything we needed, including a bathtub, mini fridge, and a hot shower. The cafeteria is stylish, and the hotel sits right in the city center. Worth it!

Really clean and handy for getting around. Churches, banks, and plenty of food chains are all within reach.
