Centillo Travellers Inn

The room was clean and basically fine, but the aircon wasn’t working properly, so it felt humid. We arrived around 11 pm and agreed on 1200Php after haggling down from 1500Php for a room for 3pax, since we’d only be there a few hours. At checkout the receptionist said the manager was angry and wanted the other 300Php, so we paid it. The room rules mentioned free bottled water and breakfast, but neither was provided.

We checked in at 9pm and left at 2.30 am without any checkout hassle. Just tell them when you arrive what time you plan to go. The family room was reasonably priced and roomy, with a queen bed, a double decked single bed, aircon, TV, and a clean CR and bath. We stayed about 5 hours. It’s easy to reach Caticlan port by personal vehicle and there’s parking, or it’s about 1km away if you don’t have one. A small, no-fuss place for an overnight stop.

I’ve stayed at this inn twice. It’s near the highway towards Kalibo, and works well for a stopover. The room is big and the toilet has a hot shower. On my first visit I checked in around 1.30am, and the front boy was accommodating.

Our flight from Caticlan was canceled because of twilight restrictions, so we stayed here overnight. The beds were clean and the air con worked; there was a decent toilet too. It’s a dorm style room with six beds and a balcony looking out over the back, which was interesting. We didn’t explore much, but there didn’t seem to be many places to eat nearby. Still, it was a comfortable stay in the circumstances, and the inn is about 10 minutes from the airport.
