The hotel was frustrating from arrival onward. There wasn’t a proper front desk or anyone ready to welcome us, and we had to ring the bell several times to get the caretaker’s attention. She didn’t seem trained to answer guest questions or deal with requests. Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, so we waited while it was cleaned. Once inside, the floor still seemed unswept and the linens looked like they hadn’t been changed. The bathroom was poorly kept too: the doorknob was broken, there was no fresh tissue roll, and the overall cleanliness was disappointing. We also found the restaurant closed, with no nearby restaurants available. After a long trip, we had to buy something to eat at a sari-sari store. The next morning, before going to Boracay, we asked the caretaker to clean our room and left the key, but she wouldn’t take it. Later we were told they couldn’t clean because there was no duplicate key. The room was still untouched when we got back. I had to insist, and even then the bed linens and pillowcases weren’t changed. I’d expected more based on the positive reviews, but it wasn’t a relaxing stay. Poor service, missing basics, and staff who seemed untrained made it feel like poor value for the money. The cleanliness, service, and guest experience need major improvement. I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you want a comfortable, hassle-free stay.
