Mc'S L Transient House

We felt comfortable in the room, and the bed was good for our needs. My husband liked having a comfortable place to sit, drink, and smoke. The friendly staff and museum-like feel were part of what we loved. Grandpa’s Inn is an old Spanish-style building turned into a hotel and restaurant. Breakfast is cooked to order, and the food in general was very nice. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. It feels like a second home when we're in the North.

The staff are the one thing that took away a star for me. They weren't friendly, felt hard to approach, and came across really dry. I love old places, especially baroque details, wood, and brick, and the atmosphere here is powerful. I could feel the history in the building. This is somewhere I'll remember for the rest of my life, and I'd return again and again if I could. I hope it stays as it is and remains part of the Philippines' cultural and historical heritage.

The food was good and the portions generous, and it's close to Calle Crisologo. Our room was clean and tidy, though it felt dim because of the interior. The old cable TV had static, and the picture was so hard to make out that it wasn't worth watching. WiFi was awful on the first day: we could connect but couldn't really do anything with it. It worked better on day two. Sound carries through the rooms, so loud neighbors and cars on the road are easy to hear.

Loved my stay and had a great time. I already miss it, and I'll definitely come back 😀
