The hotel staff were nice, and the location is quiet and convenient, a few blocks from Calle Crisologo. Since parking is limited in the busy tourist area around Calle Crisologo, you’ll need to take a trike from the hotel.

The included breakfast was nice, and the restaurant on site is really, really good. Rooms were clean, with hot water in the shower and working cold air conditioning. The Wi-Fi was pretty good, too. The staff were friendly and attentive. I can’t overstate how clean the rooms were, since a lot of mid-range hotels seem poorly maintained or only half-cleaned. Hotel Lapira is an easy recommendation.

The staff were great, and the small rooms were clean and fine for us. We only tried the mango shake, but it was good. Calle Crisologo is about a 15-minute walk away, or you can take a tricycle.

We spent one night here, July 23 to 24, and had no major complaints. The place feels more modern than most hotels nearby, with nicely sized rooms and comfortable beds. The pillows were too soft for good neck support, though. Breakfast comes free with your stay, the staff were friendly, and there’s plenty of free parking for guests.

There’s no fridge in the room. Also, the restaurant exhaust points straight toward the parking area, and my car ended up with lots of black oil spots that were really hard to remove.
