Cebu City Marriott

The rooms were spacious and clean, the place was quiet and relaxing, and it felt like great value. The ambiance was wonderful, the location is great, right beside Ayala Center, and the service made the stay a great experience. Special thanks to Hannah Cervantes, the duty manager at the time, who was very helpful and responsive, and to Ana in the breakfast area.

I’m on my last day here, and I’ve been really happy with the service from everyone, from reception and room service to the lifeguards, gym, and restaurant teams. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and people have been cheerful and helpful throughout. Alyssa, Shakera, Riza in, and Mary were especially wonderful. Sorry to the others whose names I can’t remember, you were lovely too. I’d recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good, though the line got pretty ridiculous. I also came for the New Year’s event, when most of the better tables had been reserved. The staff improvised and found seats for everyone, which I appreciated, even if some of the food seemed overpriced for its quality. The location is a big plus, especially with the mall so close, and I’d probably stay again for that and the breakfast.

I picked the Ayala Center Cebu location for my first Cebu visit because I’d had good stays at Seda before. That choice turned into a huge mistake. The booking site prompted me twice to confirm, then charged my card twice. When I tried to sort it out, staff either ignored my emails or asked me to send sensitive card details through a shared email address. It felt incredibly unprofessional. Even though I booked directly and my confirmation clearly included breakfast, they initially refused to let us into the buffet. On day two they finally allowed us in, acting as if they were doing us a favor. I still haven’t been refunded for the duplicate charge, and the team has stopped replying. I feel they took my money and tried to avoid providing what I paid for. If you’re a tourist hoping for a relaxing stay, I’d stay away. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
