Cebu Parklane International Hotel

The gym setup was really nice, and the location is good, but there are plenty of better hotels. It is a three-star place, so don't fool yourself. Hot water was missing most days, and the WiFi was too weak for work Zoom meetings. Only two elevators were working. I booked a queen room, but they had run out and pushed two beds together instead. The breakfast buffet ran out early and wasn't replenished. I had to ask for coffee, an ironing board, and fresh towels. Karaoke across the street made it hard to sleep during the day when working nights. The pool was clean but shaded for most of the day. At checkout, they had to handwrite an invoice.

I liked how close the hotel is to malls and other places, and the staff were polite and accommodating. My room was clean and roomy, with a very comfortable bed. There was a good range of food at the breakfast buffet. I'd stay at Cebu Parklane International Hotel again on a future Cebu visit.

The gym was the highlight, and the coaches there were really helpful. I stayed three nights in a clean room with enough light. Some of the amenities showed wear, but that didn't bother me much. Housekeeping could be more thorough: they took my used towels without replacing them, and left the shampoo and body wash containers empty until I left them a post-it reminder. The elevator also moved slowly, especially at busy times.

Reception and housekeeping were amazing, and the staff were friendly. Ian at the concierge was a good man, but the three other concierge guys we booked a tour with the next day seemed unsure what they were doing. They charged us double what outside tour companies charge, so expect to pay twice as much if you book through the hotel. Breakfast had the same items every day, and there weren't many choices if you don't eat pork. The hotel is far from both the airport and the waterfront. I'd take a taxi instead of using the hotel vehicles.
