The best part is how convenient the location is. SM City Cebu is an easy walk, which was great during the holidays since it’s my son’s favorite mall. There’s a café and pharmacy downstairs, a carenderia behind the building for home-style food, and Conching’s, the famous native chicken place, a short walk away. It’s where even millionaires eat! The condo itself felt shabby when I arrived. The reception was gloomy, and the air conditioning either wasn’t working that day, or maybe there isn’t any. The little desk looked as if Thor’s hammer had hit it. The receptionist was focused on her phone and snacks, and I had to wait before she acknowledged me. It felt like a one-star reception, or worse, and could use a lot of work. One Manchester Place in Mactan and CSuites offer similar services with much more welcoming reception areas. The room looked clean at first, but it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly, and perhaps the owner doesn’t inspect it regularly. I was sick during my stay, and then a baby cockroach fell as I entered the room, a pretty bad first impression after the reception. There are only two elevators, and the wait can be long, especially when you’re in a hurry. I’d still recommend the place because it feels safe and the location is excellent. It’s only a few corners from a police station. The reception and general upkeep need significant improvement to match that location.

The unit owner was friendly and very accommodating, and the condo was comfortable and clean. It’s right across from SM City Cebu, and the place has both kiddie and adult swimming pools as well as a gym. The unit was fully furnished with two queen-size beds, and the Wi-Fi was stable and fast. We had a great stay.

Service was poor throughout. The pool guard had a bad attitude and acted entitled, and guests weren’t allowed to leave the pool area with just a towel, they had to wear a full change of clothes. The elevators were unreliable, often skipping floors unless they were going above the 20th floor. In the evenings, only one was running, so waits got long. There was no drinking water in the room, and the pool itself was unimpressive. The free room allocation covers two adults and two children, but anyone 13 or older is counted as an adult, which seems unreasonable. A very disappointing stay.

We stayed in apartment 2408, and it was beautiful and clean, suitable for a short visit or a longer stay. SM City is right across the street, with the North bus terminal just behind it. From there, it’s an easy one-ride trip to many malls. Bryandiscoversworld for more 😊

The view was my favorite part, especially from a higher floor. At night the city lights looked amazing, and you could see the ships in the port. The unit itself was neat and clean, with the utensils and appliances a traveler or backpacker needs, except there was no flat iron for clothes. The condo is handy if you’re traveling by sea, just a short distance from the port and SM City Cebu. Lobby staff were approachable and helpful. If you check in during the afternoon, you can leave your bags in their conference room with other guests’ luggage, but they aren’t responsible for lost items, so keep your bags secured.
