Citadines Cebu City

The location is nice, though you have to walk to reach the Capitol area. Our room was tidy and had no bad smells, and the bath towels were replenished. Still, the carpets looked light brown instead of white and seemed due for a deep clean. There were broken pieces on both the door and in the bathroom. It also didn’t seem to get vacuumed regularly, and the dishes hadn’t been washed, though I’m not sure if that’s part of the service. Breakfast was decent overall, but the bacon was inconsistent, sometimes good and often not.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cocktails by the bar/pool were lovely. It’s a great base for seeing Cebu’s sights, and having washing /dryer facilities was a bonus. Breakfast next door at the cafe /restaurant was excellent; we had dinner there one night too, and the food was delicious. Norman the table organiser was so helpful and had a big personality.

The city view was a nice extra, especially with Cebu lighting up at night, and the elevators were quick when we were coming and going. Our room at Citadines had its own kitchen and plenty of space, so it felt like a little home where family or friends could cook, spend time together, and have slow mornings without feeling cramped. A convenient, comfortable staycation spot with a bit of city magic.

The one-bedroom apartment was thoughtfully set up. It wasn’t very large, but it had the little things that made it comfortable and functional. The location was convenient too, with Robinsons Galleria Cebu attached to the property, plus restaurants, groceries, 7-Eleven, coffee shops, and a large Filipino restaurant nearby with great local food. From the moment we arrived, reception and the staff were warm and welcoming. They even told us about a promotion and helped cancel our Booking.com reservation so we could get the better deal. That extra help was much appreciated.
