The good things were the location, right across from Ayala, the easy-to-use elevator, and the food. But after our two nights and three rooms, I can't say we'd return. The service felt cold, and some staff didn't smile when we passed. The front desk woman, whose name I don't know, came across as intimidating, sarcastic, and unwelcoming. We asked to check in a little before 2 PM when it was already nearly that time, and she immediately refused, saying check-in was exactly at 2. The room beside ours looked cleaned by housekeeping, so I couldn't see why an early check-in wasn't possible. Having booked three rooms, we expected decent treatment. Our biggest problem was the Wi-Fi. Each room got only limited vouchers, and the TV's connection kept cutting out, so I used my mobile data to watch anything. For a hotel in the city, that shouldn't happen. Our room also had no telephone or intercom, the lamp between the beds didn't work, and the sink stayed clogged even after we called staff several times. These issues should have been checked before guests arrived. The location is excellent, but service, upkeep, and especially Wi-Fi need major improvement. Our stay at Diamond Suites was a real disappointment for a hotel in such a prime spot, especially compared with other Cebu hotels I've stayed in. Management should take these concerns seriously. I doubt we'll be back.

Breakfast was my favorite part. The buffet had loads of meat, plenty of dishes substantial enough for lunch, lots of appetizers, and desserts. The poolside bar was also a nice place to unwind with a drink after a swim. The rooms are practical and have what you need for a business trip. Mine was on the second floor, and I slept really well. Booking was easy, and the person who answered my Facebook inquiry handled it well. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was another highlight, with all the places I needed to visit just minutes away. It's not the Ritz, but it offers good value, and I'll come back.

The window in our room was broken, so street noise came through, and the Wi-Fi didn't work in the room. Cell service was good, so I used mobile data instead. The hotel is very close to Ayala Mall. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good.

The room was clean, the food was nice, and every employee provided good service. It's close to Ayala Mall for shopping. I'd definitely recommend Diamond Suites and Residences as a place to stay.
