Golden Prince Hotel and Suites

Once we finally got moved to the King Prince accommodation with connecting rooms, the rest of our stay was comfortable and much better. The hotel did try to fix the problem, and we appreciated the complimentary dinner. Kimmy deserves a special mention for being kind and doing her best to help despite the mix-up. The location was good, and we enjoyed breakfast. Getting to that point was rough. The hotel couldn’t find our booking for a two-bedroom unit because of an administration error. The four of us spent the first night in one room with mattresses on the floor. After we raised the issue, they moved us to a room with three beds, but one mattress was still on the floor. Check-in took about two hours, which was frustrating after a long travel day.

The rooms were clean, the staff gave good service after I paid twice, and breakfast was good. The location is convenient too, with Ayala Center just a two-minute walk away. The gym is tiny but acceptable. The sauna didn’t work during my whole stay, despite being advertised. I was charged once through Agoda and again in cash at the hotel, because they said my reservation had been canceled. I still haven’t received a refund, and I didn’t get what was originally promised. It was extremely upsetting to spend twice on the same stay when I didn’t have extra money for that. I was on vacation and didn’t need that stress. The whole situation felt very unprofessional, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to friends. I’m very disappointed.

The in-room massage was one of the worst I’ve ever had and took away from what could have been a good stay. The therapist didn’t respond to my simple English, and the massage was unnecessarily painful and poorly done. The room also had serious cleanliness problems as soon as I arrived. There was a cockroach, hair from a previous guest across the floor, and drinks left by someone else still in the fridge. That was unhygienic and unacceptable.

Check-in was smooth, and we had a good experience during our one-night stay. It’s affordable and easy to reach, just a few minutes on foot from Ayala Mall. The rooms were clean and smelled nice, and breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful, and basement parking was available.
