Hayat Sky Towers

The rooms were good, condo-style, with a kitchen equipped with essentials, and the view was nice, especially from the 18th floor. Check-in took 30 minutes, so service was a bit slow. It's a good place overall, though somewhat far from the city, and getting a taxi can be hard when you're nearly up the hill.

Breakfast service was frustrating: with an hour left before it ended, many tables were still dirty and unusable. Guests had to wait for staff to clean them, leaving little time to eat. The shortage of staff was obvious and hurt the experience. Check-in also took almost an hour, far too long for guests expecting an efficient process. On top of that, we booked a Deluxe Double Room but were given a Deluxe Twin Room, which was inconvenient and cost more than a Superior Double Room. Management needs to address these staffing and service problems right away. If this continues, it will seriously damage the hotel's reputation.

Good view, and a great place for the price. Breakfast was perhaps a bit simple. One concern: when they refill the hot dishes, they put the new food on top of trays that still have the old, cold dishes. That seems like a good way to cause stomach upsets.

I booked a city-view room through Agoda for New Year’s Eve because I wanted to see the skyline. Instead, the room faced another part of the hotel building, so the view wasn't of the city at all. That defeated the reason I chose and paid for that room. We tried watching the fireworks from the pool area, but the view wasn't any better. The elevators were extremely inconvenient at peak times, stopping at almost every floor. Hotel staff and facilities use the same elevators as guests, adding to the queues and congestion. The air conditioning also kept switching off every 30 minutes. The only fix they offered was to turn off the breakers completely, which was unacceptable and very inconvenient. My stay at Hayat Hotel didn't meet expectations, especially for a New Year’s Eve celebration, and I wouldn't recommend it.
