Hello Stay Hostel

Clean, nice hotel near the heart of the city, with very accommodating staff.

I stayed at Hello Stay Hostel in downtown Cebu city while it was on soft opening, and it was a positive experience. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds and basic amenities that covered what I needed. I had no significant issues, though since the hostel is still on soft opening, there may be a few areas to improve. In my stay, those were minimal and didn't affect things overall. The location is very convenient, close to the commercial and school district, so food, shopping, and other amenities were easy to find. Despite the busy area, it was surprisingly peaceful and quiet at night, and I slept well. The manager was accommodating and made sure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free; the staff were helpful and gave prompt, attentive service. I'd recommend it as a budget-friendly downtown option. Also, did I mention the manager? She's so cute. I've got a crush on her.

Right in the heart of Cebu City, and the staff were so accommodating. The place was clean and cozy, and we had a really good stay ❤️ I'd book here again ❤️

We had a rough stay. The hostel was hard to locate because there were no signs outside, though a helpful taxi driver got us there. The building is new and has an elevator, but it felt like it had opened before it was ready. After arriving late, we were put in a room with a double bed. In the middle of the night, someone pounded on our door nonstop for five minutes and woke us up. They said we were in the wrong room. We asked to deal with it in the morning, but they made us pack up and move right then to bunk beds. Not ideal for a couple. The beds were rock hard. The air conditioner was directly above the top bunk and couldn't be adjusted, so with it off the room was unbearably hot, and with it on it was freezing. There was no natural light, and the windows faced a concrete wall without insulation. The toilets only worked intermittently, there were no trash cans, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. A bad experience.
