The food was a highlight for us: we enjoyed dinner, especially the pumpkin soup and quattro formaggi pizza. Breakfast was more hit and miss. Even though the buffet starts at 6:00 a.m., at about 6:45 some dishes still weren't ready. We waited for the garlic rice, and the dried fish we wanted took around 20-30 minutes to appear. The puto maya was delicious, but we had to keep asking because it wasn't out at the display. We had a relaxing overnight stay in one of the pool villas at Kandaya, and would still recommend it despite a few hiccups. The room was pristine with the usual amenities, a tub I loved, and a separate sink. The bed was comfortable but so high that I had to climb up as a short person. The AC wasn't working well at check-in, but after we called the operators, it turned out it just needed cleaning. The pool was a good size and depth at 4 ft, though leaves and other plant debris kept blowing in on the windy day, so we had to call the pool butler several times to clean it.

The resort is spacious, and the cream-colored sand beach is lovely. The rooms are large and there's a buffet breakfast. The beach itself felt a little boring, though. It was low tide at 10 a.m., so I didn't really enjoy the water. I'd still recommend the place if you want somewhere peaceful and quiet to relax.

We had the Beach Pool Villa on our second stay at Kamdaya. It was clean, quiet and very nice, with the pool great for the kid and the beach close by. The beach was excellent, and there was plenty to keep us busy. Jetski was a blast. The restaurant food and breakfast buffet were both pretty good. No complaints here.

We ended up staying overnight in Room 907 after the coast guard said boats couldn't cross to Malapascua island. The price was on the high side, but the room was clean, good and proper. Friendly service, and the restaurant food was good and delicious.

That pool was finally one where I could stand comfortably at my height of 4'11 😂. We had an amazing two days at this beautiful, peaceful resort, with lovely places to relax and top-notch service from the staff. Superb and worth it, I highly recommend it.
