There was hardly any staff on site after we arrived, and large parts of the resort were dark and unattended. Then a private party for 30-40 construction workers celebrating work on the property took place in the main house by the pool. Major outdoor and shared areas were blocked and unusable, including the next day. We’d booked a “Signature Hut” but were given a much smaller, completely different room. We could see the Signature Hut from ours, and later found out it was empty. Staff said their system showed something else and blamed Hotels.com, taking no responsibility. The first room was tiny and dirty, with an unhygienic bathroom. After an off-duty employee helped us reach a manager by phone, we were moved. The new room was a little better but still below an acceptable standard, with poor cleanliness and insects. There was nothing “Serenity” about this place. The listing was misleading, hygiene was poor, staff didn’t take responsibility, and facilities weren’t available as advertised. I’d strongly advise staying elsewhere.

We rented an individual cabin with a mountain view, but the place felt sad and badly maintained. The floor tiles were uneven, the sink wasn’t aligned with the wall, and the bathtub sealing was poorly done. The staff showed no interest in our experience. It felt like the room needed basic repairs by people who knew what they were doing. The shower barely sprinkled water until we cleaned stones from the shower head. We had to reverse the hot and cold labels on the faucet because they were in the wrong positions. The kettle was full of mineral deposits, with no dedicated socket, so we used the one by the bed. Apart from mugs and the kettle, there was no coffee, tea, or spoons. The fridge had three bottles of water, including one that was unfinished, possibly left by a previous guest. There was a heater in the bathroom, but no Wi-Fi in the room. It was dirty, rusty, worn out, and I wondered if it was really worth this much. I could have stayed in a 4-star place in the city with a pool and sauna.

The valley view was nice, and the hotel was quiet apart from motorbikes with loud mufflers going all day and night. The room was small but adequate, until I found lots of ants crawling over the bed while I was trying to sleep. Wi-Fi and TV were fine. Breakfast was included but very limited, with no juice or coffee. I asked for juice and was told they were out; I only got coffee after finishing my omelette, and was charged 175 pesos for one cup. In some parts of Thailand, that would buy a full English breakfast with coffee and juice. We were the only guests, and I can see why. My girlfriend was scared to sleep there. Getting there from the highway means taking a steep, narrow, challenging road, so I wouldn’t recommend it for new drivers. Everything closes at 8 pm, and you need transport if you want anything after that. Nice view aside, it’s overpriced and offers no extra value for money.

The view is phenomenal, and the facilities are amazing. Service was friendly and the food tasted good, though it was expensive.

We didn’t book a room since we weren’t planning to stay. I visited briefly with my bf and friends to check out the resort. The Cafe is spacious, has plenty of seats, and is a great spot to look at the mountains. We tried some drinks and desserts, and both were great. The rooms seemed somewhat pricey, but might be worth it for anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful break from the city.
