Oceana Bay Coron

The room was noisy enough to make sleeping difficult, and there wasn't even a TV, just the wall mount. The place seemed poorly maintained. We also found the room dirty and full of cockroaches, and the shower window was broken when we arrived. There was an electrical outlet inside the shower, which felt extremely dangerous. Safety clearly isn't a priority here. We were very disappointed and had a horrible stay. I'd avoid this hotel and stay somewhere else.

I was travelling alone and tried the dormitory. It felt good and safe, and the room had what I thought was the nicest view in town. The location is super convenient, walking distance to town, and the staff were so accommodating. I left my phone behind and they contacted everyone I'd met, even the trike driver. I loved the staff and service!

The family room has a lovely bay view, and the stay was great value for the money. It's right beside a cafe, though a little removed from the stretch where most of the shops and restaurants are.

We felt very uncomfortable and unsafe after someone went through our room while we were out on an island tour. Our money was stolen, and the room looked ransacked when we returned, with open cabinets, searched bags, and a mess on the bed and in the washroom. The amount wasn't large, but it was still upsetting. We asked to move to another hotel, and management agreed to refund the remaining 4 nights. There are no CCTV cameras in the hallways leading to the rooms, so there's no way to trace who may have entered. That lack of security is unacceptable. We also had two power outages early in the morning, with no generator, no emergency lights, and no response or solution from staff. We were left in the dark, literally and figuratively. Henry at the front desk was the one friendly and professional staff member we met. He did his best to help during our short stay, and we appreciate that. But that can't make up for the experience at Oceana Bay Hotel in Coron. It's poorly managed, lacks basic safety features, and the security issues, including the possibility of staff involvement in the theft, are a serious concern. We can't recommend it.
