It’s about 20 meters from the shore, so you can go jogging or swimming. The accommodation was good. For a trip to Madja-as Park, the owner can arrange a shuttle to the park for free. Dinner is offered from whatever they’ve prepared that day. There’s also a snack bar for drinks, burgers, fries, pica pica, and similar bites.

The rooms were clean and better than I expected, and they’re spacious too. But the customer service really let the place down. The girls at the front desk need training in manners, and I found the service very disappointing. The kitchen also didn’t serve people in the order they arrived. The same girls I saw and spoke to at reception were cooking as well. Staff should pay more attention to customer concerns. I travel a lot as a backpacker, so this was especially disappointing. Management can still train the staff in manners, proper conduct, and customer service. I can’t recommend the place unless they do.

The dining area is roomy, and there’s enough parking for the available guest rooms. The hotel suite is under a kilometer from the municipality’s center, reachable by private car or tricycle. The only nearby convenience store is 7-eleven at the plaza, though you can ask the receptionist for meals, bottled water, and beverages. Don’t expect much from the room’s interior or amenities. Mine was on the ground floor and had weak air-conditioning, though it was bearable. They use keys rather than keycards.

Arvs made the stay feel personal, and he even knew more about my family than I do :) The room was clean and comfortable, and I slept well. There’s plenty of parking, the place feels safe, and the wifi was super fast. Drinking water was free, and coffee and puto in the morning were a nice pick-me-up. I had a great overnight stay. Thumbs up for you, Arvs ;)

Arvin was very friendly, and the location is good. I think he said he’d lived in Canada for a while before coming home to retire. We stayed in January 2019, when the restaurant and bar were still being built. Mararison Island is the main reason to visit Culasi. A great place to stay while you’re there.
