Angelina Beach Hotel

I spent two years living in Milan, and the Super Angelina was at least as good as the best pizza I had there. I usually check the crust, since it tells you a lot, and this one really delivered. The service was quick and the staff were lovely. There were about four other tables while we were there. It’s right by the beach, with a lovely bay view and fans to keep you cool. I’m usually skeptical when a place calls itself the best, but I can believe this is the best Italian food on the island. It’s worth every penny, and a nice break from rice based meals if you fancy something different. Highly recommend.

The tiramisu was my favourite thing. I had it both nights, yum. The house white wine is just 190 pesos too. I can’t say anything about the rooms since I didn’t stay there. It’s a lovely Italian restaurant on the beach, with plenty of pizza and pasta options. One night I had spaghetti with tuna and capers, 10/10. The next I tried tagliatelle with seafood, 8/10, though it was a bit oily for me. My boyfriend had cheesy gnocchi one night and Hawaiian pizza the next.

The best part of our two-night stay was the food. It was delicious and took us straight to Italy, the best food we had in the Philippines. Our room was spacious and clean, and the place had a really pleasant feel, with friendly staff and cute dogs wandering around. There’s also a great beach behind it for snorkeling.

We keep coming back because the pasta and pizzas are so delicious. We’ve eaten here several times, and the red wine and gelato are good too. It’s become our favourite restaurant of all the ones we’ve tried on Malapascua Island. The tropical setting is cool and quiet, and the experience is just lovely. The servers are nice to us, so we always leave them a tip. Paying by card doesn’t add the extra 5% that other places charge.
