Edem Island Inn Malapascua

This is the most accommodating inn I’ve stayed at on my trips since 2020. Clean, cosy, peaceful, and the crew are approachable. You can have the kind of vacation you want here. We sang and danced, ate grilled food, and drank beer.

The hosts made this stay for us. They were so friendly, offered coffee, hot water and bread for breakfast even though it wasn't included, and let us check out late. Those little extras felt really thoughtful. We only came here for one night after our first booking was overbooked, and ended up wishing we'd chosen this place from the beginning. The room was comfortable, private and had air conditioning. The bathroom was small and had only cold water, but covered the basics. It's a little outside Malapascua's main area, though with a scooter the island is only about five minutes away. For the price, we thought it was good value, especially compared with the place we'd originally booked and the other places we saw. I'm not sure why its rating is so low. A quiet, comfortable stay with lovely hosts.

The person who handed over the keys helped us rent a scooter and suggested a few things to do. The place is only steps from the beach, and our room was clean, with air conditioning and a private bathroom. Good value for a few nights on the island if you're looking for something inexpensive.
