Daraga Tourist Inn

For such a low price, the place is cozy. I did run into a water problem, though. The flow was low and the water had an unpleasant smell. I don't know if it was just a one-off incident.

We stayed for two nights, and our room was very clean, inviting, and quiet despite being along the main road. Daraga Tourist Inn is on the third floor of Donation Maria Building, with a service elevator that's handy for heavy bags. You can get there by jeep or tricycle. The staff were courteous and accommodating. In the common living area there are a refrigerator, microwave, water dispenser, stapler, and paper. We also borrowed the tape dispenser and Scotch tape to put our music pieces together. The same area gives you a close-up view of Mayon Volcano. We first booked a fan room, then upgraded to air conditioning, though we didn't really need it during the rainy season. The bathroom and shower were clean, and the toiletries came in large bottles: shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, and lotion. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. We asked for fresh towels during our stay and got them. We had a delicious lunch downstairs at the steak house. The chicken was tender, the prices were reasonable, and they offer senior discounts. There's also a 24/7 convenience store with tables and chairs both inside and outside.

Clean, roomy rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and good value make this a comfortable, dependable place to stay. It's also well placed for visiting the area, close to Daraga Church and the airport. I gave it 4/5. It covers the basics well and worked as a reliable base for our time in Albay.

We just needed a quick night before a flight. The room was clean, and the shower was great. Four adults shared two queen beds, and we got a lovely view of Mayon.
