Castle Dreams Hotel

The Wi-Fi in the room was terrible, a big problem in the digital world. To use it, you have to sit downstairs in the lobby. Be warned, you’ll get bitten by mosquitoes. The staff were nice, and one security guard opened the door while the other sat inside on his phone. Breakfast was just okay: one egg, a scoop of rice, and your choice of meat. My husband ordered it, and the cook brought it to the room.

The rooms are okay, but roaches are everywhere. They need a thorough clean or pest control. The staff are friendly and attentive.

The hotel didn’t look like its website pictures, from the outside to the reception, hallway, and room I saw. The reception and ground floor hallway were dark and dingy, and there’s no elevator. They showed me a ground floor room for a senior. It was dark, dingy, and very small, with two single beds. There were three or four parking spaces out front, all occupied by motorbikes, and the semicircular driveway entrance was tight. I only saw the exterior, reception area, ground floor hall, and one ground floor room, not the rooms upstairs, but I’d still tell people to skip it. I can only imagine cockroaches crawling while you sleep. I tried to get my $700 back, but they refused.

The rooms are spacious, but there’s only one chair. The floor was dusty, the comfort room wasn’t clean, and the hot shower didn’t work. We called the front desk to complain about the shower, but they didn’t fix it, and we waited an hour for nothing. Breakfast came with 3-in-1 coffee. Brewed coffee is affordable and healthier, so I hope they improve this. As a hotel, they shouldn’t have to serve 3-in-1 coffee.
