Meaco Royal Hotel - Dipolog

The room has a vintage vibe, but the noise from children running in the hallway was a problem. We told the front desk, and their response was unbelievable: "Just don't mind it ma'am they're just playing". The audacity. Don't mind it? That's why we were complaining, it was too noisy and already 1am. We were tired from the trip and that's all they said.

The location works well, and there’s parking for the car. It’s good enough for what it costs.

The room itself was decent, with a TV and air conditioning that worked great. You can book a 12 or 24 hour stay at this budget hotel, and the clock starts when you check in. During our stays, though, the key lock, hot water, sink, and WiFi weren’t working. There’s no lift either.

The location, parking, and security were good, but getting around was really inconvenient. We had to climb six flights of stairs and carry our own luggage. The employees’ expressions also made us feel unwelcome. Small gestures from staff can make a guest’s stay comfortable and worthwhile, but the service here was 👎👎👎.
