Top Plaza Hotel

My room was clean and worked fine. The water closet was very spacious. The overhead shower didn’t work, but I still had a good hot shower.

This is my favorite place to stay in Dipolog. It’s improved a lot since before the pandemic, with newly renovated rooms and toilets. The water pressure is still not very strong, but it’s much better than it used to be. Reservations were hassle free, and the front office staff were super efficient and friendly. The dining room and kitchen staff are the best.

It’s comfortable and relaxing here, and most things you need are just a step away since the place is near everything, around the middle of town. The WiFi in our room wasn’t very good, but I’d still give the hotel five stars. Their free breakfast is a must try!

Top Plaza Hotel is a 2-star hotel in the proper town of Dipolog, a few blocks from The Boulevard, the city’s famous nightlife spot. Their driver picked me up at the airport. I had two bags and a box, and it felt odd that he didn’t offer to help me carry them to the service car. It wasn’t a big deal, but I’m used to hotel staff being pleasant and accommodating. I was told the hotel hasn’t been renovated since it was built, and the rooms seem to reflect that. I think management should consider updating them to make the rooms cleaner and more decent.
